You've offered perks. Hardly anyone uses them.
Discounted gym memberships, wellbeing apps, the odd team night out. They look good in the benefits pack, but most people use them alone, if at all, and nothing really changes in the office.
The problem isn't your team. It's that going alone is easy to skip. STLPH puts a coached session in the diary, at a time that fits the working day, and gets everyone in the same room. People turn up because their colleagues do.
"The best wellbeing perk is the one your team actually turns up to, together."Dylan Royal, founder of STLPH
What employers worry about, and what actually happens
"It'll cost us hours of work time."
Choose 7:30am and it costs no work time at all. Or pick a lunchtime slot and your team trains on their lunch break.
"Only the fit people will come."
Every exercise has an easier and harder version, so a complete beginner and a regular gym-goer both get a real workout.
"Our staff won't want to exercise with colleagues."
It's team-based, not a bootcamp. Partner work and friendly challenges are what people end up enjoying most.
"A gym pass does the same job."
A pass relies on people going alone. A coached session in the diary, with the whole team, is what actually gets used.
More than a workout
Included: four 45-minute coached sessions · strength, kettlebells, conditioning and mobility · a private studio with showers and changing rooms · a 10-minute desk mobility plan for every employee · an end-of-challenge report on attendance and feedback.

I'm Dylan Royal, a personal trainer in St Albans and founder of STLPH. I lead every challenge.
I started STLPH because most workplace wellbeing perks go unused. Training together with a coach, in a slot that's already in the diary, is what gets people through the door.

Questions employers ask
Does my team need to be fit?
No. Every session is built for mixed ability and every exercise has an easier and a harder version. We check for injuries before each session.
How much time out of the office is it?
Sessions are 45 minutes. Allow about 90 minutes door to door including travel and a shower. The 7:30am slot takes no work time at all.
Where are the sessions?
In a private studio in St Albans city centre. We'll confirm the address and parking when we speak.
How much does it cost?
One fixed price for your whole team of up to 20 people, not a charge per person. We'll go through it on our first call.
What happens after the four weeks?
You get a short summary of attendance and feedback. If your team wants to carry on, we keep your slot running weekly or fortnightly. There's no obligation to continue.
